Birches by the Stream |
There is only one more week to go in the 30 Paintings in 30 Days challenge but I won't have much time to rest. I have been asked to do a couple of mini-workshops with the local TAPS (Therapeutic Activation Program for Seniors) in February. One will be to make cards with paper flowers and quilling; the other will be to draw some of the places they lived using alphabet art. The seniors will be paired with students and it will be interesting to see the interaction. I have also been asked by the Creston Art Club to do a workshop on quilling. So I will be doing a lot of prep work for the next few weeks to get ready for these workshops - no rest for the wicked!
I love the strong contrast with the birch trees and the background. Nicely done!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Joan. I like the look of the contrast too - gotta make those birch trees pop!
DeleteVal these tress are wonderful. All of them. And your reflections are killer! Loved yesterdays, and this is a new favorite! Sounds like you are going to have lots of fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sheila. Part of me is tempted to keep doing variations of this scene but I figure that is just laziness talking. Have to think of something new for today - groan!
DeleteVal, they both are very dynamic!! Good job with reflections, and also with contrasts!
ReplyDeleteThanks Laurie. Some days I feel Like I need to stop for a while because my next piece won't be as good as the one I just finished and I need a break to savour the success - if that makes any sense.
DeleteYou go girl, so super you are spreading your enthusiasm and knowledge, just awesome. Like this a lot and know you will, finish strong.
