30/30 January Challenge #29

Although I do have two paintings done, I am going to share the one done just for the challenge. The other piece was painted as a demonstration for one of my students and will be saved for another day.
#1007 - Teddybear's Garden - 6 x 8 watercolour
This is so not my style! I picked up a bunch of old art tutorial magazines at Art Club last week and thought I would give one of the reference pictures a try. I don't think that stuffed animals will ever become a subject I want to paint again although it was an interesting experiment. I think this piece is too much like a cartoon but, it is a pretty good fit for the oval mat.

There is only one day left in Leslie's 30/30 Challenge and the month has been another great opportunity for artists to share their work and to find other artists to enjoy and follow.

Now, the question remains - "What am I going to do with 30 more paintings?"

Thanks for visiting - please leave a comment.

    1. Thanks Joan. Your comment made me laugh. Maybe you will be lucky and the owners of all of those pets will buy the portraits. Have a great evening.

  2. This is a fun piece and is pretty light hearted for the last day. Something I think we all need. Want to thank you Val for all the support and thoughts you so freely give. I not only appreciate it during the challenge but all the time. You are one of the few who really tell me what I need to hear, so it is much appreciated. You know you were one of the folks I think I met in last year's January challenge. Best part for me is getting to meet new folks and then follow them and their talent. They never disappoint. Off now to a new year, let's see where we can take it girlfriend!!

    1. One more painting for today and it is over - yea! You are very welcome for any support and help I have given you Nelvia - I think that should be a major part of communication between artists. We don't just want praise we want critical comments -at least I do. I agree that one of the best parts of these challenges is meeting new people, learning and sharing. Take care Nelvia and have a great year!
