This is a photo from last year as this years flowers are still too small to make much showing. I have about 70 pots displayed around the house all planted and waiting for the sun to shine. Now I just have to do my flower beds!
In between planting sessions, I made some more Hot Weather Scarves and Art cards to go with my displays at a couple of galleries up the lake; The Mervin Robertson Gallery and Faeries' Landing Art Market and Bistro.

We had a pretty decent weekend and all but one of the artists had sales. Although the building where we have the art is For Sale, the owner (one of the artists) is going to let us keep the display intact so that we can open off and on over the summer until the building sells.
I know there have been other things over the last few weeks that have kept my nose to the grindstone but I really can't think of what they were - like I said, it has been a crazy month.
The scarves are so pretty, and the cards are awesome. That's terrific that you will be able to stay set up for a while. Shame for the space to go to waste :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Sheila, The cards always do well with the tourists - local scenes at a very low price and I think the scarves will do well once it warms up. We are all keeping our fingers crossed for lots of tourists to make staffing the store worthwhile. Have a great week!
DeleteNo grass has been growing under your feet. First the flowers are super, 70 pots??? Wow, the beds must be spectacular too. Like Sheila love the serves. they are still really big in our area so am sure you will do well with them too. Good luck with the tourists.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nelvia, I like pots more than beds as they get fewer weeds - I will share photos in the summer. As for the tourists, I am keeping my fingers crossed.
DeleteYou've always got so much going on, Val - nose to the grindstone winter and summer!
ReplyDeleteMorning Win, I keep waiting for things to slow down but always manage to come up with something else to do. Sound familiar?
